About

Youth4Change is a non-profit organization focused on getting the youth more involved in helping the community. We conduct fundraisers, workshops, book drives, and disaster relief efforts to foster understanding and participation in social issues. Our initiatives, including an insightful podcast, aim to empower our young members to be active, informed, and impactful community members. Together, we can make a difference!

Projects

Senior Home Caroling at Priya Living

We helped serve food for senior citizens at Priya Living and also conducted a Christmas Talent Show/Caroling event.

Machine Learning/AI Webinar w/ Anamita Guha

Anamita Guha, a project manager at Facebook shared her discussed her experiences and ways to get started with machine learning. Watch it here.

Cards for Healthcare Workers

We sent 100+ messages and cards to the hardworking doctors and nurses at Good Samaritan and Kaiser Permanente.

Mental Health Discussion

Edu-pod, a mental health NPO collaborated with us to discuss the impact of bad habits and tips for better mental health. Our discussion with them also addressed the mental pressure on students living in the Bay Area, especially. Watch our discussion here.

Community Clean-up at Guadalupe River Park

We collected 420 pounds of trash in total, around the trails and the along the river. Thanks so much to the Guadalupe River Park Conservatory for providing us with cleaning materials.

Book Drive for Children’s Book Project

We collected 250+ books for the Children’s Book Project. All these books go toward underfunded schools.

Community Seva Fundraiser

We conducted a Bake Sale, partnering with Outta The Oven, to provide funds for Community Seva. We raised over $800 for food/basic necessities for homeless people.

Baking Fundraiser for COVID-19 Relief in India

We hosted baking classes to help support India during COVID-19 crisis. We raised over $1300, with our donations going to Sewa International for masks, pulse meters, humidifiers, and more.
